2011 Teachings
God allows every circumstance to bring us to a place of brokenness and dependence on Him. Darren shares of the many ways in which God accomplishes His work in our lives to bring us to that place.
Darren compares Noah's building of the ark in preparation for the judgement of God to our lives in the present world being built on Christ.
Darren shares of the narrow and difficult way that leads to life. In view of the eternal things that God has prepared for us, let us not seek treasures here on earth but seek God instead.
In our tests and trials it will only be faith and confidence in Christ that will cause us to stand. Darren reminds us of God's promises and how we can overcome fear.
When we are disciplined or facing fears, we can turn to the Lord and find help in our time of need and say, "This is the day that the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad."
Darren explains the victory we can have over the fear of death. All of our difficulties and weaknesses are used by God to bring us to a place where we are wiling to surrender our lives to Him.
Let us hold fast to our convictions without wavering and without fearing man.
We are called to show mercy and intercede for others rather than judging them. As we sow to the Spirit in this way, we will reap life.
Let us be pure in our love for God and one another. If we seek honour and exaltation from others we will reap the consequences.
God is looking for faith and humility. Darren shares examples of those who through faith and humility received from God.
When the enormity of our sin is revealed to us; let us quickly repent before God and open our hearts to His voice.
We must have faith in the Word of God to overcome our fears. Let is treasure the Word even more than our necessary food and receive it with a good and obedient heart.
Let us be wise and receive counsel, correction and discipline.
God is sovereign and only what He allows can happen in our lives. He will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we are able.
Let us serve others for Jesus' sake, not for pride or for the praises of men, but laying our life down to glorify God.
