Jesus' first words on the sermon on the mount was to tell us that those who are poor in spirit are blessed. God desires us to be broken and weak in ourselves so that we may be strong in faith and find His strength and bring glory to His Name.
God alllows sifting in our lives to remove areas in our hearts that are not Christ like. When we allow His Spirit to work in us we will bear more fruit.
When we trust in the Lord we can depend on Him to make our paths straight.
Jesus brought the Word of His Father that judged everyone who would not humble themselves to receive it. Let us humble ourselves and come to the light when we hear the Word of God.
Darren shares the truth about the unseen kingdom of heaven and what it looks like to seek the things above. It is important to know the difference because the things that are seen are only temporary but the things that are unseen are eternal.
When we are bitter towards someone or battling to be still and at rest before God, it can be because we have forgotten our great debt before God because of our sin. Darren shares on how to be still before God and find rest in the storms of our lives.
Darren encourages us to seek for wisdom and embrace truth at any cost. He shares a few examples of those who have denied themselves the attraction of sin and have chosen to fear God, humble themselves, and seek for His truth.
Abraham was tested in his faith and overcame all his fears by trusting in the Lord's promises and depending on God for provision. Darren shares of how we will be tested too and can overcome our fears.
Darren shares the life of Asa as an an example of how easily we can rely on past victories and begin to trust in our own resources. Let us rather continue to rest and trust in the Lord without losing heart and yielding to unbelief.
The enemy wants to bring division in our homes and the body of Christ. Let us pursue peace with all men and strive to preserve the unity of the Spirit.
Correction comes from God in different ways. Darren exhorts us to have humble hearts to receive correction from Jesus however He speaks to us.
If we walk by the Spirit we will not fulfill the desires of the flesh. Jesus is our example of living by the Spirit and not by the carnal mind and according to our own flesh.
God will search our hearts and will correct us perfectly. He will expose all bitterness and give us an opportunity to repent.
When the Lord allows tests in our lives we must not listen to the discouraging voice of the devil but believe in the salvation of God.
The devil will seek to bring division and hinder our prayers through bitterness and unforgiveness. Darren shares on the solution to this attack though humbling ourselves, having compassion on others, and remembering all that God has done for us.
