When the LORD passed by Moses in the cleft of the rock, He proclaimed, “The Lord God, the Lord God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness (mercy) and truth ...” (Exo 34:6,7) It is interesting to take note that the first thing the Lord cried out was that He is compassionate and gracious.
