ShareIf we walk by the Spirit we will not fulfill the desires of the flesh. Jesus is our example of living by the Spirit and not by the carnal mind and according to our own flesh.
God will search our hearts and will correct us perfectly. He will expose all bitterness and give us an opportunity to repent.
Darren shares on the importance of guarding our mouths from speaking angry words that come from within our hearts. Jesus is our example of gracious speech and One who was even silent before His accusers. Let us grow in grace and learn to be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to wrath.
When the Lord allows tests in our lives we must not listen to the discouraging voice of the devil but believe in the salvation of God.
The devil will seek to bring division and hinder our prayers through bitterness and unforgiveness. Darren shares on the solution to this attack though humbling ourselves, having compassion on others, and remembering all that God has done for us.
We will never know the joy of walking the path God has for us if we do not surrender all of our heart to Him and put His kingdom above all else.
Let us patiently endure all that the Lord has given us to bear that we might have the proven character that the Lord wants to produce in our lives. If we are faithful to do as He commands and help even the least, we will receive joy.
God sends His Word to us to sustain us. Darren shares of the necessary discipline we must have to depend on the Word of God and not on the things of this world.
May our goal be as Paul's: " to maintain always a blameless conscience both before God and before men." By faith in Jesus and through His blood we can have a clean conscience and a pure heart.
We must choose between loving God our Father and loving the world and it's lusts. Darren explains the suffering and joy that will come to you if you choose to deny the flesh and follow Jesus our High Priest.
Those who are poor in spirit will take a hold of the gospel by faith. The gospel will then cause us to mature to a place where we love the brethren and the love that we have will draw all men to Jesus.
Darren explains how the law cannot deal with the pride and boasting in our hearts. We must humble ourselves and receive the grace and righteousness that comes from God through faith in Christ.
